* Note there is a line for a voluntary Taxpayers Defense Fund contribution. This Fund was established to set aside money for fights involving tax and rate increases. It is the seed money we used in our effort against Proposition 39, the move by Silicon Valley millionaires and the state's teachers' union, which ended a 121-year old property taxpayer protection in the California Constitution. The change reduced the 2/3 requirement for increases in local property taxes to 55%.

We are now getting ready to use the Taxpayers Defense Fund to support a simple Initiative to eliminate the City's Enterprise Fund 11% tax.
